LOTTERY DEER APPLICATION STATUS

ATTENTION 2024 LOTTERY DEER APPLICANTS

The 2024 Lottery 1 Deer Firearm and Muzzleloader lottery application period for Illinois residents closed April 30, 2024.  To check results after May 13, 2024: 

  • Go to ExploreMoreIL™ and select the Log In To My Account button.
  • Navigate to your Customer Homepage.  Scroll down the page and select the Purchase History button.    
  • If you were awarded a 2024 Lottery 1 Deer Firearm permit, you will see one (or both) of the following PRIV CODES:  
    1500-24 - RESIDENT DEER EITHER-SEX FIREARM 2024 PERMIT - LOTTERY 1
    1501-24 - RESIDENT DEER ANTLERLESS-ONLY FIREARM 2024 PERMIT - LOTTERY 1   
  • If you were awarded a 2024 Lottery 1 Deer Muzzleloader permit, you will see one (or both) of the following PRIV CODES:
    1528-24 - RESIDENT DEER EITHER-SEX MUZZLELOADER 2024 PERMIT - LOTTERY 1
    1529-24 - RESIDENT DEER ANTLERLESS-ONLY MUZZLELOADER 2024 PERMIT - LOTTERY 1  

Lottery 2 opens May 13, 2024, and closes June 30, 2024.

OVER-THE-COUNTER SALES 

County-issued permits remaining after the 2024 Lottery 3 Deer Firearm and Muzzleloader drawings will be available for sale over the counter (OTC) at License Vendors on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Tuesday, October 15, 2024.  Special Hunt Area permits are only available during the Lottery application periods and are not sold OTC.
