Location And Access

The preserve is located approximately 1.3-miles southeast of the town of Tiskilwa within the Grand Prairie Section of the Grand Prairie Natural Division. It is found in the Northwest ¼ of the Northwest ¼ of Section 20, Township 15 North, Range 9 East of the 4th Principal Meridian. The site is not open to the public and access is granted only with permission of the respective landowners.

Description

Daisy Hill Prairie Nature Preserve consists of a very small, but very rare glacial drift hill prairie natural community. This natural community was evaluated in 2010 and later added to the Illinois Natural Areas Inventory (INAI #1824) as a Category I site for presence of Grade B and C glacial drift hill prairie natural communities.
