Welcome to the premier 1,600-acre World Shooting and Recreational Complex in beautiful southern Illinois.
The World Shooting and Recreational Complex was designed for shooters and built for recreation! This public facility offers 120 trap houses stretching 3.5 miles, two sporting clays courses, 24 combination trap and skeet fields, and cowboy action shooting.
It also features more than 1,000 camping sites, excellent fishing opportunities, a full-service restaurant, and meeting and event space. The facility is available for both public use and private events, including corporate events, weddings, conferences, family reunions, meetings, and more.
The complex proudly hosts the Amateur Trapshooting Association’s Grand American Trapshooting Championships each summer, attracting more than 5,000 competitors and spectators from across the globe. The Grand American has made the World Shooting Complex its home since the site opened in 2006.
Located near Sparta in Randolph County, the World Shooting Complex is conveniently located 45 miles southeast of St. Louis, Missouri; 60 miles northwest of Carbondale, Illinois, and breathtaking Giant City State Park; and about 120 miles south of Springfield, home of the Illinois state capital and Abraham Lincoln historic sites.
