Location And Access

Description

Myer Woods is a dry-mesic old-growth woodland dominated by black oaks, and to a slightly lesser extent by white oaks. Much of the 20 acre tract is relatively flat, but wooded ravines divide the south portion and the northeast corner. The site was deeded to the Princeton Park District in 1959 by the Myer family "to be kept as close to its natural state as practical". It was subsequently dedicated as an Illinois nature preserve by the Park District.
