Fel-Pro Triple R Fen Nature Preserve is located in the village of Oakwood Hills, and is bordered on the north by Rawson Ridge Road and on the south by Crystal Lake Avenue. Access is from an entrance off Crystal Lake Avenue, and a trail system.
Description
Fel-Pro Triple R Fen is located in the Morainal Section of the Northeastern Morainal Division in McHenry County, Illinois, has five natural plant communities that support 268 native plant species. These plant communities include graminoid fen, sedge meadow, spring run, dry gravel hill prairie, and dry mesic woodland.
