The Voight Pauper Cemetery Prairie was used as a family cemetery in the mid-1800s. It sits atop a small hill overlooking a vast landscape of farms and homesteads. The surrounding land is primarily in agricultural production. The natural character consists of 1-acre of Grade C mesic prairie, which is some of the last remaining mesic prairie in LaSalle County. Approximately 40 native prairie plant species inhabit the site including lead plant, rattlesnake master, yellow star grass, and prairie dropseed.
