Walnut Point State Park announces temporary closure of Twin Points area
SPRINGFIELD - The Twin Points area at Walnut Point State Park in Coles County will be closed to the public through at least July 1 due to the boat ramp dredging project.
The work is part of an improvement project currently taking place in the park to enhance the overall visitor experience and ensure long-term accessibility. During this period, the Twin Points area, including the boat ramp, shelter, trail, and parking areas will be closed.
The public is encouraged to utilize the park's other boat launch and the many other shelters, trails, and parking areas.
