Project Title: Establishment of Historic Fish Communities to Restored Illinois River Floodplain Lakes

Community and/or Species Focus:

 Wetlands, Fish

Goals/Objectives:
  1. Reintroduce native fish to the Illinois River floodplains
  2. Introduce a diverse group of fish species
Achievements:
  1. ​Stocked 35 species between 3 different sites
  2. Populations were established at 2 sites: Emiquon and Spunky Bottoms

Post-Project Survey (if applicable): Fish populations were successful at Emiquon but further monitoring is needed at Spunky Bottoms
