Project Title: Developing a Multimetric Habitat Index for Wadeable Streams in Illinois

Goals/Objectives:
  1. Develop a multimetric habitat index that adjusts for regional differences under natural conditions and is able to detect changes over time
Achievements:
  1. ​Sites were chosen for disturbance sampling, scored, and ranked either least, moderate, or most disturbed
  2. Regional scoring criteria was developed
  3. An index was developed and deemed successful
