Project Title: The Illinois Chorus Frog (Pseudacris illinoensis) and Wetland Mitigation: What Has Worked?

Community and/or Species Focus:

 Illinois chorus frog

Goals/Objectives:
  1. Construct a characteristic matrix and identify management actions for the Illinois chorus frog at 3 different sites in Morgan, Cass, and Madison counties
  2. Survey mitigation for breeding activity
  3. Identify characteristics of sites with breeding activity
Achievements:
  1. ​Characteristic matrices were created and management techniques were implemented and associated with wetlands, sand habitat, prairie, and hydrology
  2. Breeding activity was observed and deemed most successful at the Madison County site
  3. Pond habitat was created based on past conservation actions of each site

Post-Project Survey (if applicable): The Madison County site is still being managed.
