Project T-140-R1
Project Title: Reassembly of Mussel Communities Following Disturbance
Community and/or Species Focus: Mussels
Goals/Objectives:
- Gather existing mussel reassembly data
- Conduct surveys to collect additional mussel reassembly data
- Evaluate the rate of mussel community reassebly
- Evaluate the taxonomic sequence of reassembly
- Identify stable-state endpoints of assembly, if they occur
- Identify stream, biological, and disturbance characteristics that correlate with patterns of reassembly
Achievements:
- Identify the rate of mussel community reassembly
- Identify the stable-state endpoints of assembly
- Identify the degree in which reassembled mussel community resemble the pre-disturbance community
- Identify reassembly occurrence in proportion to the pre-disturbance mussel community
