Goals/Objectives:
  1. Treat Allerton Pond within the Park with SONAR to eliminate invasive species
  2. Establish native plant species
  3. Establish fish species that are currently in decline
  4. Post informational signs for public education
Achievements:
  1. Treated the pond and invasive species were eliminated
  2. Successfully planted native vegetation
  3. Fish populations were introduced to the pond
  4. A temporary sign was created and placed near the pond

Post-Project Survey (if applicable): The lake chubsucker population was evaluated as doing well, but the starhead topminnow and ironcolor shiner populations had crashed. The redspotted sunfish was not introduced until 2008, and there are hopes that they will eradicate the crayfish. Populations will be restocked in 2009.
