Turkey Lottery Drawing Information
To check the status of your application, follow the instructions below.
Go to ExploreMoreIL™ and select the blue Log In To My Account button.
- Navigate to your Customer Homepage. Scroll down the page and select the Purchase History button.
- On the Purchase History page, if you were issued a 2026 Lottery 1 fall turkey shotgun permit, you will see Priv Code 1600-26 Resident Fall Turkey Shotgun 2026 Permit - Lottery 1.
Permits will be mailed to successful applicants prior to the start of season.
Unsuccessful lottery applicants will receive a refund back to the method of payment used at the time of application.

Over-the-Counter Permits After Lottery Drawings
Remaining county-specific fall turkey shotgun permits after the Lottery 2 drawing will be available for sale over the counter (OTC) from License Vendors beginning September 21, 2026, on a first-come, first-served basis. Permits will be sold until quotas are exhausted, or until the close of the season, November 1, 2026. Persons may purchase one or more permits during this period, subject to availability, except that no one may exceed the limit of 2 permits in total, including lottery-issued and landowner permits. Special Hunt Area (SHA) permits are only available during the lottery application process and are not sold OTC.
