Turkey Lottery Application Status
Go to ExploreMoreIL™ and select the blue Log In To My Account button.
- Navigate to your Customer Homepage. Scroll down the page and select the Purchase History button.
- Select 2026. On the Purchase History page, if you were issued a 2026 Lottery 1 Spring Turkey permit, you will see Priv Code 1650-26 - Resident Spring Turkey 2026 Permit - Lottery 1.
Lottery 1 Spring Turkey permits will be mailed to successful applicants in mid-January.
Unsuccessful Lottery 1 applicants will receive a refund check from the Illinois Comptroller's Office.

Over-the-Counter Permits After Lottery Drawings
Remaining county-specific Spring Turkey permits after the Lottery 3 drawing will be available for sale over the counter (OTC) from License Vendors beginning March 10, 2026, on a first-come, first-served basis. Permits will be sold until quotas are exhausted, or until the close of the specific turkey season segment (i.e., seasons 1 through 5) in the zone (north vs. south) for which the permit is being requested. Hunters may purchase one or more permits during this period, subject to availability, except that no one may exceed the limit of three permits in total for spring turkey hunting, including lottery drawn, OTC, youth and landowner permits.
Special Hunt Area permits are only available during the lottery application process and are not sold OTC.
