2025 Spring Turkey Lottery Application Status
Attention 2025 Spring Turkey Lottery Applicants
The 2025 Lottery 1 Spring Turkey drawing is complete. To determine if you were successful in being issued a Lottery 1 Spring Turkey permit, please follow the instructions below.
- Go to ExploreMoreIL™ and click on the blue Log In To My Account button.
- Navigate to your Customer Homepage. Scroll down the page and select the Purchase History button. Select 2025.
- On the Purchase History page, if you were issued a 2025 Lottery 1 Spring Turkey permit, you will see PRIV CODE 1650-25 RESIDENT SPRING TURKEY 2025 PERMIT – LOTTERY 1. Lottery 1 permits will be mailed to successful applicants in mid-January 2025. Unsuccessful applicants will receive a refund check from the Illinois Comptroller's Office.
The Lottery 2 application period for Illinois residents and nonresidents opens December 12, 2024, and closes January 13, 2025. Limit 1 application. Apply online here.
Over-the-Counter Permits
Remaining county-specific Spring Turkey permits after the Lottery 3 drawing will be available for sale over the counter (OTC) from License Vendors beginning March 11, 2025, on a first-come, first-served basis. Permits will be sold until quotas are exhausted, or until the close of the specific turkey season segment (i.e., of seasons 1 through 5) in the Zone (north vs. south) for which the permit is being requested. Hunters may purchase one or more permits during this period, subject to availability, except that no one may exceed the limit of three permits in total for spring turkey hunting, including lottery-drawn, OTC, youth and landowner permits.
Special Hunt Area permits are only available during the lottery application process and are not sold OTC.
