Shaft & Slope Examiner Experience and Documentation

Candidates for Shaft & Slope Examiner Must:

  • Be a citizen of the United States or lawfully admitted for permanent residence
  • Document 2 Years Practical Shaft & Slope Sinking Experience
    (Document One Year Exp. with Mining Engineering Degree)
  • Be of Good Repute and Temperate Habits
  • Document First Aid & Mine Rescue Training
  • Pass Examination

Documents Needed:

  • Application
  • 5000-23 or Equivalent Verification of 1st Aid & Mine Res.
  • Letter of Experience From Present or Past Employers
  • Shaft & Slope Workers Papers

Temporary Available if:

  • Application Completed
  • 2 Years Experience Documented
  • State Mine Inspector Approves Application
  • Pass Temporary Examination
  • Temporary Valid Until Next Available Exam
