Conservation Worker Program
The IDNR Conservation Worker Program is a seasonal employment program that provides additional help to our parks during their peak season's for camping, recreational and hunting programs offered at our facilities. Our Historic Sites offer positions to help with maintenance of facilities and assisting visitors. The principal responsibilities of park maintenance tasks are grass mowing, painting, trail maintenance, working in the campgrounds and pavilions, cleaning, and etc.
To be considered for employment you must have a valid driver's license, be 17 years of age or older and be able to work weekends. All IDNR seasonal Conservation Worker Program positions will be posted on the State of Illinois jobs site. To be considered for a seasonal position, applicants must apply online for the site location they are interested in.
