The IDNR headquarters at 1 Natural Resources Way in Springfield has experienced a power outage and tree damage throughout the grounds as a result of severe storms in the area. The agency expects to reopen the building to the public on Monday, June 15, 2026, though this could be subject to change. Check back here for an update before planning to visit the office in person.

​Anderson Lake Accessibility:

  • Restrooms - There are 6 accessible restrooms throughout the park. Three in the north end, and three in the south end. 

  • Picnicking - There are two shelters located in the park with wheelchair -accessiblepicnic tables at each. When you come in the main entrance, there is a shelter in both directions, left and right, with accessible parking at each. 

  • Fishing - There are places along the road that have reasonable wheelchair accessibility to fishing along the lakeshore, but it is not ADA compliant. For more information, please call (309) 759-4484.
