​Accessibility at Illini:

  • Parking - There are asphalt parking lots with accessible parking spaces at the boat ramp, Illini-wek trail head, concession, shower house, River Meadow day use area, Marsattawa and Mallard Bay shelters. There is approximately 5' from the parking spaces to the sidewalk. Park office has a wheelchair ramp. 

  • Restrooms - There are accessible flush toilets in the Great Falls campground shower building, and ADA vault toilets in the Great Falls non-electric campground, Whitetail electric and non-electric campgrounds, Pine Glen Youth Group Campground, Marsattawa Shelter, River Meadows and Mallard Bay day use areas, Concession parking lot and Illini-wek trailhead. 

  • Boating - There are wooden accessible boat docks at the Illinois River ramp. There is less than a 30' distance from the asphalt parking area to the boat docks. 

  • Camping - Great Falls campground has campsites #08 and #27 and the Whitetail campground has site #72 designated ADA accessible. Campsites have wheelchair accessible picnic tables and grills. To make a reservation, visit ExploreMoreIL™.

  • Picnicking - The Marsattawa and Mallard Bay shelters, and the River Meadows day use area have wheelchair accessible picnic tables and grills and concrete sidewalks to access the areas. 

  • Service animals are welcome in the park, but there are no outdoor water fountains.
