The IDNR headquarters at 1 Natural Resources Way in Springfield has experienced a power outage and tree damage throughout the grounds as a result of severe storms in the area. The agency expects to reopen the building to the public on Monday, June 15, 2026, though this could be subject to change. Check back here for an update before planning to visit the office in person.

​Accessibility at Iroquois County:

  • Parking - The park offers paved parking lots with accessible parking spaces at Areas 2, 3, 6, 8, 11 and 13. The cement sidewalks are adjacent to the parking lots. 

  • Trails - There is a 1/4-mile accessible trail at Area 2 with parking. There is also an accessible trail with an archery range and target located by the park office. 

  • Restrooms - Accessible vault toilets are available in areas 2, 3, 8, 11, and 13. 

  • Picnicking - The park has a shelter with wheelchair-accessible picnic tables and grills and cement sidewalk access to the parking lot. 

  • Service animals are welcome in the park, but there are no outdoor water fountains.

  • Hunting - Disabled Deer Archery hunting is available at the park. For more information, please call 815-435-2218.
