​Accessibility at Red Hills:

  • Parking - All parking lots are asphalt with accessible parking spaces adjacent to the concrete sidewalks. 

  • Fishing - The restaurant fishing dock is 10' x 60' flat wooden plank boardwalk with hand rails, but there are no safety railings on the dock. There is a 20' distance to the dock from the parking lot. 

  • Boating - The main boat dock ramp is a 8' x 35' accessible concrete ramp with hand rails, but there are no safety railing on the dock. 

  • Restrooms - There are accessible flush toilets available in the campground, and accessible vault toilets in the campground, Veteran's Point, Northwinds Shelter, and Ash Grove Shelter. 

  • Camping - Campsites 1, 74, 102, 105 are accessible, and offer wheelchair accessible picnic tables and grills. These sites can be reserved through ExploreMoreIL™. Accessible flush toilets and showers are available in the campground.

  • Picnicking - Lakeside Shelter, Northwinds Shelter, Ash Grove Shelter all have ADA accessible picnic tables, but do not have grills. 

  • Service animals are welcome in the park. There are water fountains available near the shelters and campsites.  

  • Restaurant - In 2022, the restaurant will be opening, and it will offer 3 accessible restrooms. All parking lots and sidewalks to the restaurant are concrete.
