​Accessibility at Weinberg-King:


  • Parking - The main pond has two accessible parking spaces located on the east side of the pond, and a sidewalk that leads to the two shelters. 

  • Restrooms - Accessible vault toilets are available throughout the park. 

  • Camping - In the regular campground, Site # 9 has a full concrete pad with sidewalk leading to the vault toilet and big shelter house in the campground.  The pad has 50 amp electric service and a wheelchair accessible picnic table and pedestal grill. In the equestrian campground, Site #4 has full concrete pad with sidewalk leading to the vault toilet and big shelter house in campground.  The pad has 50 amp electric service and wheelchair accessible picnic table and pedestal grill. Reservations can be made through exploremoreil.com.

  • Fishing -  The main pond has 2 accessible parking spots located on the east side of pond.  There is a sidewalk leading to two picnic locations. (One is under a shelter house and the other is fully open)  Both spots are along the shoreline providing ideal fishing spots.  Both spots have Grills and handicap tables.  The sidewalk also leads to the privy toilet. The distance from each picnic spots and toilet is less than 35 yds.

  • Picnicking - There are 7 shelter houses in the park.  All Shelter houses have at least one wheelchair accessible table.  The 2 campground shelter houses have electricity and sidewalks.  The pond shelter house has sidewalks and grills but no electricity.  The main picnic area has two shelter houses but only one has a sidewalk.  The sidewalk leads from the parking lot to the toilet and shelter house as well as the play ground and wildlife lookout deck.  There is an accessible grill at this location.
