Over-the-counter deer firearm permit sales begin on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Due to recent software updates beyond IDNR’s control, some vendors may have limited availability to print permits and licenses. IDNR is working closely with the license system provider to quickly address the issue for those vendors. ​Accessibility for Weldon Springs:

  • Parking—All parking lots are asphalt with accessible parking spaces with less than a 20' distance to the concrete sidewalk. 

  • Restrooms - There are accessible flush toilets in the shower house in the campground. 

  • Camping - There are 9 accessible campsites available, and each has a wheelchair-accessible picnic table. All campsites are reservable through ExploreMoreIL™.  

  • Fishing—There is one accessible fishing pier with a 100' distance to the pier from the parking lot. 

  • Service animals are welcome in the park, but water is not available.
