The IDNR headquarters at 1 Natural Resources Way in Springfield are closed today, Friday, June 12, 2026, as cleanup and recovery continues from severe storms this week. The agency expects to reopen the building to the public on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Plenty of picnic areas are available throughout Pere Marquette State Park, with tables, grills, and trash containers provided. These are first come, first served to any who would like to use them. Three picnic shelters are available and may be reserved. A fee is required to reserve shelters. Reservations can be made at ExploreMoreIL™.
