River Closures

Illinois DNR routinely monitors river conditions throughout the state, so check back often for the latest updates.

Non-DNR Notices

Sangamon River is closed effective March 14, 2025, at 4 p.m. from the Route 29 Bridge west to the Sangamon Valley Trail Pedestrain Bridge.
Middle Fork Vermilion River is open effective April 9, 2025 at 4:26 p.m. from the Illinois/Indiana state line to the town of Oakwood.
Little Wabash River in White and Gallatin counties is closed effective April 8, 2025 at 4 p.m. from the I64 Bridge in White County to the confluence of the Wabash River in Gallatin County.
