The IDNR headquarters at 1 Natural Resources Way in Springfield has experienced a power outage and tree damage throughout the grounds as a result of severe storms in the area. The agency expects to reopen the building to the public on Monday, June 15, 2026, though this could be subject to change. Check back here for an update before planning to visit the office in person.

​Accessibility at Spring Lake:

  • Parking - There are asphalt parking lots with designated accessible parking spaces. 

  • Boating - There is an accessible boat ramp approximately 50' from the parking lot using the concrete sidewalk. 

  • Restrooms - Accessible vault toilets are available along the lake.

  • Picnicking - Spring Lake has one shelter in the North Park that can be accessed from a concrete pathway from the parking area. 

  • Trails - In the South Park, the Stagecoach trail is a 2.5-mile sandy surface trail, and the Deer Run trail is a 0.5-mile sandy surface trail. Both could be accessed by a rough-terrain wheelchair. 

  • Service animals are welcome in the park, and water is available.
