The IDNR headquarters at 1 Natural Resources Way in Springfield has experienced a power outage and tree damage throughout the grounds as a result of severe storms in the area. The agency expects to reopen the building to the public on Monday, June 15, 2026, though this could be subject to change. Check back here for an update before planning to visit the office in person.

Division of Project Implementation

The Division of Capital Projects (Springfield and Bartlett offices) prepares design plans and specifications for water resource construction projects, acquires needed right-of-way and supervises construction activities. It is responsible for the operation and maintenance of state managed dams and facilities on waterways throughout the State.

The Division maintains offices in Bartlett, Springfield and Havana, as well as temporary offices at construction sites around the State, and on site offices for lock and dam personnel at Rock Falls and McHenry.
