Description
Eagle Watch Weekend at Starved Rock State Park and the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center is a great family excursion to view bald eagles through guided hikes on Saturday and Sunday at 11 and 2, take in live birds of prey show at the Lodge, or the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center on Saturday at 10, 1, and 3 or bring the kids out on Sunday for fun "build an eagle" crafts and story time at 10. You can even register online for "meet and greets" with your favorite bird of prey on Sunday at 10, 1, and 3 occurring at the Utica Welcome Center.

*All programs originally scheduled at the Starved Rock State Park Visitor Center have been moved to the Starved Rock Lodge. The main parking lot in the lower area by the visitor center is closed this weekend due to flooding from the Illinois River.
Guided eagle viewing hikes will still take place as scheduled but will now meet hike leaders outside at the back of the lodge by the lounge/staircase to the lower area. Hikers are now asked to park at the gravel overflow parking by the south entrance to the park off of route 71 or at the lodge itself.
