Come experience the 1830s with hands-on demonstrations and educational programs for all ages. Programs are offered twice weekly.

Our popular hands-on Children’s area designed for kids 10 and under. Children can dress up in period clothing, pretend they are cooking over an open fire, and build with life-sized Lincoln logs.

Walk Where Lincoln Walked
Wednesdays and Fridays at 2:30 p.m
Join a historic interpreter on a walk through the village as they provide a deeper understanding of the history of Lincoln’s New Salem State Historic Site.
Lincoln in Sculpture
Thursdays at 2:30 p.m
Join an interpreter for an informative walk around the site in appreciation of the various statues that call Lincoln’s New Salem home.
