The IDNR headquarters at 1 Natural Resources Way in Springfield has experienced a power outage and tree damage throughout the grounds as a result of severe storms in the area. The agency expects to reopen the building to the public on Monday, June 15, 2026, though this could be subject to change. Check back here for an update before planning to visit the office in person.

 Reserve Your Campsite

Camping at Morrison-Rockwood State Park is sure to delight all who love the out-of-doors. Ninety-two camping sites are available in heavily wooded areas of the park, with 59 available for reservation through the Reserve America website at ExploreMoreIL. Each site has electricity, a grill, and a table. A shower building with flush toilets is available from May 1 through October 31. A trailer dump station is conveniently located near the campground.
