ANNOUNCEMENT OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Illinois Endangered Species Protection Board will hold a public hearing from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Illinois Department of Natural Resources headquarters building, One Natural Resources Way, Springfield, Illinois to take public comments on changes the Board is considering to the Illinois List of Endangered and Threatened Species. The Board will accept both oral and written testimony from the public regarding the proposed changes. The hearing record will remain open for an additional two weeks; all written comments must be received no later than Friday, October 25, 2019. A complete list of the proposed changes can be accessed here. The current version of the Illinois List of Endangered and Threatened Species and additional references are available on the Board’s website. This hearing will be accessible to handicapped individuals in compliance with all pertinent state and federal laws, upon notification of anticipated attendance. Handicapped persons planning to attend and needing special accommodations should contact the Endangered Species Protection Board at DNR.espb@illinois.gov prior to the hearing to inform of their anticipated attendance.
